Happy Teej !

Happy Teej.

Let Teej be a celebration; not an exhibition of jewelries.

Let there be songs and dances; but not an affirmation that women are ever weak.

Happy Teej; but make the celebration gender inclusive.

Party n celebrate together; There's no need to fast; no one gonna be saved by anyone staying hungry; no anyone gonna get good husband just coz they can stay hungry.

Have respect to our traditions; but don't believe in superstition.

And, at last, if you don't have brothers to invite you, don't get sad; be on your own. Don't expect, be alive!

Forget those tragic filmy songs, to be sung by married women when brothers do not invite them; be equal to your brothers, you already are, just realize that no one is superior to anyone, yet everyone is unique.

Be Unique; not Superior or Inferior. Happy Teej!
